Maria Chobanyan (Asatryan) is a four-year-old girl, who suffers from complications of a removed meningocele including thoracic scoliolisis, abnormal curvature of the spine. At birth, Mariam was diagnosed with a Meningocele. In May 2012 Mariam had surgery and her Meningocele was removed at the "Surb Astvacamayr" hospital.
Unfortunately, her treatment was not sufficient. Because of lack of necessary technology, her doctors recommended that she continue her treatment overseas.
Maria’s parents contacted the "Helios" hospital in Berlin. For Maria’s full treatment (surgery and after surgical treatment) her parents need to raise 50 000 Euros, however the family has only raised 3 500 Euros so far.
The Chobanyan family lives in village Aygehovit (Tavush region) . For a family that lives on the border with Azerbaijan, it is really hard to find ways of raising money or to sell property. They need our help!
