Festivals and events are the best way to know more about Armenia, people living in Armenia, Armenian customs and traditions, the way people act and feel and what not can be discovered!

    
     1. Snow Art Festival
    
     Snow art festival also known as Snowman 2018 is held in Jermuk, Vayots Dzor, during February 17-18. This festival is a fantastic time to discover your talents. During the festival, people make different figures out of snow and have fun.
    
     2. International Jazz Day
    
     Lovers of the heavenly sounds of Jazz have a great chance to listen to the best Jazz artists during the International Jazz day in Yerevan. The festival takes place on the 30th of April (in 2018) in Cascade Complex Yerevan.
    
     3. Yerevan Wine Days
    
     The best quality wine is represented by the wine producers during Yerevan Wine days. The festival is held on the 4th and the 5th of May in Saryan Street. The festival is accompanied by music, dance and different events.
    
     4. Dolma Festival
    
     Dolma is a traditional Armenian food and it is fair that there is a festival dedicated to this amazing food. During Dolma Festival people taste various types of Dolma. The date of the festival is May 20, 2018. The place where the festival is held is Hnaberd, Aragatsotn Province.
    
     5. Yerevan Color Run
    
     Yerevan Color Run brings bright colours to the old city Yerevan. People splash colours on each other and it is too difficult to recognize each other. The festival gives much fun. The date of the festival is June 2, 2018, the place is Rio Mall, Yerevan.
    
     6. Sheep Shearing festival
    
     Sheep shearing in Armenia has become a tradition and Armenians treat it with great respect. Sheep shearing festival which takes place in Khot, Syunik Province, on June 09, 2018 is an annual festival accompanied by competitions such as the fastest sheep shearer, dances, rope walking and so on.
    
    

7. Bread in the Mountains Festival

    
     Armenians consider bread to be a holy food, so they respect all kinds of bread. It is not surprising that there is a festival dedicated to Armenian bread. Bread in the Mountains Festival takes place on June 10, 2018, at TUMO Park, Yerevan.
    
     8. Mulberry Festival
    
     Mulberry Festival is a tasty event which is aimed at making Goris a tourist destination. During this festival, you can eat unlimited mulberries, listen to Armenian traditional music, dance and feel the freedom of Karahunj. The festival will take place on the 7th of from 12: 00-17: 00 at Karahunj village, Goris.
    
     9. Vardavar Festival
    
     Vardavar is a festival celebrated all over the country. The date of the festival is not fixed: it is celebrated 98 days after Easter. On this day people splash water on each other and have fun. This year, in 2018 Vardavar will take place on the 8th of July 08.
    
     10. Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival
    
     Golden Apricot is the greatest Armenian film festival which takes place annually. The festival will give you a great opportunity to watch films in all the cinemas in Yerevan n low prices. This year, in 2018 the festival will start on the 8th of July till the 15th of July.
    
     11. Watermelon Festival
    
     Watermelon Festival is another tasty event which takes place annually in the heart of Yerevan Swan Lake. Besides being a tasty festival it is also a beautiful festival as you can find out various carvings out of watermelons. This year it will take place on the 14th of July.
    
     12. Taraz Festival
    
     Fashion lovers must attend Taraz festival and know more about Armenian traditional clothing. This year, in 2018 the festival is going to take place on the 4th of August in Yerevan.
    
     13. Yerevan Beer Festival
    
     Yerevan Beer festival gathers all the lovers of beer at the Swan lake where they can enjoy the highest quality beer from the best beer producers. The Festival program includes competitions such as The fastest beer drinker, the fastest hot dog eater and so on. The date is August 18-19.
    
     14. Honey Festival
    
     Honey makers from all over the country represent their products during the honey festival. You will have a fantastic chance to taste the best honey and buy as much of this golden magic as you wish. The festival will take place on the 18th of July in Shamshadin region.
    
     15. Barbecue Festival
    
     The tastiest barbecue is waiting for you in Akhtala, Lori Province. Visit this tasty festival and taste the best barbecue ever. The festival will take place on the 19th of July.
    
     16. Carpet Festival
    
     On the 8th of September, there is an amazing festival named Carpet Festival where you can buy the best artworks of carpet makers from all over Armenia. The carpet festival will take place in Dilijan, Tavush Province.
    
     17. Harissa Festival
    
     Harissa Festival takes place in Musaler, Armavir province. In 1915 people of Musaler were fighting against Turkish armies not to be massacred and they were saved by the French sailors who offered them harish to eat (known as harissa) . The date of the festival is September 15.
    
     18. International Balloon Festival
    
     It is an international festival also held in Armenia. During this festival balloons from all over the world shine in the sky and make a fantastic view. This year, in 2018 this festival will take place from the 25th of September till 18th of September in Yerevan.
    
     19. Gata Festival
    
     One of the tastiest desserts in Armenia is Gata (a sweet bun) . There are many variations of Gata and Gata festival is an amazing chance to show all the types of this sweet bread. The festival will take place in Haik village, Vayots Dzor Province, on the 22nd of September.
    
     20. Erebuni-Yerevan Festival
    
     This festival is meant to celebrate the birthday of one of the oldest cities in the world – Yerevan. Usually, this day is celebrated in Republic Square, Yerevan, but you can find different events all over the city. The dates are September 29-30.
    
     21. Areni Wine Festival
    
     Areni Wine festival is famous for unlimited wine and various types of cheese, as product producers try to show their best products to the public. The festival is accompanied by Armenian folk, traditional music, dances, performances. It will take place in Areni, Vayots Dzor Province on the 6th of October.
    
     22. ReAnimania Yerevan International Animation Film and Comics Art Festival
    
     Armenian animators show their artworks, share their experience with the upcoming generation, the audience enjoys films of the world’s best animators. ReAnimania Yerevan International Animation Film and Comics Art Festival will take place from October 28-November 03 at "Moscow" Cinema house.
    
     23. The Holy Lance Feast
    
     In Echmiadzin, Armavir Province holy lance feast takes place annually. Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the "Feast of the Apostles St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew". The festival will fill you with holy emotions and will take your breath away while looking at holy Geghard. The date is the 1st of December.
